Meme of The Week: Brian Williams

Brian Douglas Williams
(born May 5, 1959) in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Williams was raised in a Irish Catholic home. He is the son of Dorothy May (Pampel) and Gordon Lewis Williams, who was an executive vice president of the National Retail Merchants Association, in New York. He an American journalist at NBC News, currently serving as an anchor on the cable network MSNBC. After high school Williams attended Brookdale Community College, after which he transferred to The Catholic University of America and then The George Washington University but did not graduate.

Brian Williams the pathological liar

Pathological lying can be described as a habituation of lying.
It is when an individual consistently lies for no personal gain.
The lies are commonly transparent and often seem rather pointless.
There are many consequences of being a pathological liar.

Williams was suspended for six months, and eventually demoted from the Nightly News for misrepresenting events which occurred while he was covering the Iraq War in 2003. He claimed that a military helicopter he was traveling in had been "forced down after being hit by an RPG."

Here are some of his other mainstream lies:

  • Hurricane Katrina, referred inconsistently to a suicide that took place
inside the New Orleans Superdome at the time of Katrina.

  • Fall of the Berlin Wall, Williams said that he was "at the Brandenburg
Gate the night the wall came down", while CBS and other sources report that
Williams did not arrive until November 10, the day after the gates between the
two halves of Berlin were opened.

  • Embed with Navy SEALs, Williams said he flew into Baghdad with SEAL Team
Six, but Special Operations Command spokesman Ken McGraw stated the SEALs do
    not embed journalists.

  • Williams referred to the 2017 Shayrat missile strike footage of missiles
being fired from a US warship as "beautiful pictures".

E.R. Murphy = 33 Septenary & Chaldean

Edward Regan Murphy (born April 3, 1961) in Brooklyn, New York City, and raised in the borough's Bushwick neighborhood. His mother, Lillian, was a telephone operator, and his father, Charles Edward Murphy, was a transit police officer and an amateur actor and comedian. His mother and father broke up when he was three. His father died when he was eight and his mother became ill. Murphy and his older brother Charlie (1959–2017) lived in foster care for one year. Later, he and his brother were raised in Roosevelt, New York by his mother and stepfather Vernon Lynch, a foreman at an ice cream plant.

In 1988, Art Buchwald (Buchwald = 47 [D]) sued Murphy and Paramount Pictures, alleging that they had used ideas from a screenplay he had submitted to Paramount as the basis for Murphy's film Coming to America. In 1992, Buchwald was awarded $150,000 in a summary judgment; Buchwald's producing partner, Alan Bernheim, was awarded $750,000. Both sides described the outcome as a "victory".

Meme of The Week: Mel Gibson

Mel Colmcille Gerard Gibson (born January 3, 1956) is an American actor and filmmaker. He was born in Peekskill, New York, and moved with his parents to Sydney, Australia, when he was 12 years old.

Gibson was born in Peekskill, New York, the sixth of eleven children, and the second son of Hutton Gibson, a writer, and Irish-born Anne Patricia (Reilly) died 1990. Gibson's paternal grandmother was opera contralto Eva Mylott (1875–1920), who was born in Australia, to Irish parents, while his paternal grandfather, John Hutton Gibson, was a millionaire tobacco businessman from the American South. One of Gibson's younger brothers, Donal, is also an actor. Gibson's first name is derived from Saint Mel, fifth-century Irish saint, and founder of Gibson's mother's native diocese, Ardagh, while his second name, Colmcille, is also shared by an Irish saint and is the name of the Aughnacliffe parish in County Longford where Gibson's mother was born and raised. Because of his mother, Gibson retains dual Irish and American citizenship.

Gibson's father was awarded US $145,000 in a work-related-injury lawsuit against the New York Central Railroad on February 14, 1968, and soon afterwards relocated his family to West Pymble, Sydney, Australia. Mel was twelve years old at the time. The move to his grandmother's native Australia was for economic reasons, and his father's expectation that the Australian Defence Forces would reject his eldest son for the draft during the Vietnam War.

Also, additional gematria coding for Mel:

Meme of The Week: Jeff Bezos

Bezos's mother Jacklyn was a teenager at the time of his birth. Her marriage to Jorgensen lasted a little more than a year. In April 1968, at age 4, she married her second husband, Miguel Bezos, a Cuban who immigrated to the United States alone when he was 15 years old. His family was originally from Villafrechós, a little town in Valladolid, Spain. Miguel Bezos worked his way through the University of Albuquerque, married Jacklyn, and legally adopted his stepson Jeff, who changed his surname from Jorgensen to Bezos. After the wedding the family moved to Houston, Texas and Miguel worked as an engineer for Exxon. The young Jeff attended River Oaks Elementary School in Houston from fourth to sixth grade. As a child, he spent summers working on his grandfather's ranch in southern Texas.

Bezos was one of the first investors in Google, investing $250,000 in 1998. That $250,000 investment resulted in 3.3 million shares of Google stock worth about $2.9 billion today.

Meme of The Week: Stephen King

When Stephen King was two years old, his father left the family under the pretense of "going to buy a pack of cigarettes", leaving his mother to raise Stephen and his older brother, David, by herself, sometimes under great financial strain. The family moved to De Pere, Wisconsin, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Stratford, Connecticut. When King was 11, the family returned to Durham, Maine, where his mother cared for her parents until their deaths. She then became a caregiver in a local residential facility for the mentally challenged. King was raised Methodist and remains religious as an adult.

As a child, King apparently witnessed one of his friends being struck and killed by a train, though he has no memory of the event. His family told him that after leaving home to play with the boy, King returned, speechless and seemingly in shock. Only later did the family learn of the friend's death. Some commentators have suggested that this event may have psychologically inspired some of King's darker works, but King makes no mention of it in his memoir.

Meme of The Week: Richard Bruce "Dick" Cheney

Richard Bruce "Dick" Cheney was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Marjorie Lorraine (Dickey) and Richard Herbert Cheney. He is of predominantly English, as well as Welsh, Irish, and French Huguenot ancestry; Cheney's 8th great-grandfather, William Cheney, immigrated from England to Massachusetts in the 17th century. Although not a direct descendant, he is collaterally related to Benjamin Pierce Cheney (1815–1895), the early American expressman. Cheney is a very distant cousin of both Harry S. Truman and Barack Obama; the three share a common ancestor in Mareen Duvall, a Huguenot who fled from France to England in the 17th century and later settled in Maryland. His father was a soil conservation agent for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and his mother was a softball star in the 1930s; Cheney was one of three children.

He attended Calvert Elementary School before his family moved to Casper, Wyoming, where he attended Natrona County High School.

He attended Yale University, but by his own account had problems adjusting to the college, and failed out twice. Among the influential teachers from his days in New Haven was Professor H. Bradford Westerfield, whom Cheney repeatedly credited with having helped to shape his approach to foreign policy. He later attended the University of Wyoming, where he earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in political science. He subsequently started, but did not finish, doctoral studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
